Terms of Service

1. What FAQlue does

FAQlue is an embeddable FAQ widget for websites. It displays your frequently asked questions, tracks which ones visitors click most, reorders them automatically, and accepts question suggestions from visitors. You add one script tag to your site. We handle the rest.

2. Accounts

You need an account to use FAQlue. You are responsible for the email address associated with your account and for any activity under it.

One account per person or organization. Don't share accounts or embed codes between separate businesses.

3. Plans & billing

Company (EUR 29/month): 1 FAQ context, unlimited questions, search, smart ordering, custom styling.

Multi (EUR 79/month): Unlimited FAQ contexts, everything in Company, plus AI competitor analysis and Slack/email notifications.

Payments are processed by Stripe. We never see or store your card details.

You can cancel anytime. Your FAQ stays active until the end of your billing period.

30-day money-back guarantee: If you're not happy within the first 30 days, email us and we'll refund your payment. No questions asked.

4. What happens when you cancel

When your subscription ends, your embed code stops working. The widget will no longer display FAQ content on your site. Your data is retained for 30 days in case you resubscribe, then permanently deleted.

The script tag on your site becomes inert - it won't break your site, it just won't show anything.

5. Acceptable use

Don't use FAQlue to:

  • Display illegal, harmful, or misleading content
  • Spam visitors or collect personal data through the suggestion feature
  • Reverse-engineer the widget or API
  • Resell or redistribute the service
  • Overload the service with automated requests

We reserve the right to suspend accounts that violate these terms.

6. Your data

You own your FAQ content. We display it through the widget, but the questions and answers are yours.

You can export or delete your data at any time by contacting us.

Our Privacy Policy covers how we handle data in detail.

7. The widget on your site

The FAQlue widget loads a small JavaScript file (under 4KB) on your site. It runs in a Shadow DOM and does not interfere with your existing styles or scripts.

The widget makes API calls to our servers to fetch FAQ content and track interactions. These calls are made over HTTPS.

You are responsible for informing your visitors that the FAQ widget is powered by FAQlue, which the "Powered by FAQlue" link at the bottom of the widget handles.

8. Availability & liability

We aim for high uptime but don't guarantee 100% availability. The service is provided "as is."

Our liability is limited to the amount you have paid us in the last 12 months. We are not liable for lost revenue, data loss, or other indirect damages.

9. Changes to these terms

If we make material changes, we will notify you by email at least 14 days before they take effect. The "last updated" date at the top shows the latest revision.

10. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Netherlands. Any disputes will be resolved in Dutch courts.
